PeerReevYOU is a platform created as a group project for the New Media & Digital Culture Master's programme. This platform aims to offer students an easy and effective method to receive more feedback on their work and at the same time practice their critical thinking and diplomacy skills by reviewing. 

 

Peer review: why?
Providing as well as receiving feedback has been proven to improve students' skills. Considering the growing number of students in the Netherlands, the workload of teachers is rising - and they are not always able to provide extensive feedback. Peer reviews can help out here: research shows it is effective. By using this online tool, the workload for teachers will not increase because the proces is automated.

 

Who and what?
We focus on Media Studies students (BA and MA) at the UvA, and you can login with your UvAnetID. Names are hidden and you upload your work and reviews anonymousyly. Only a student number is shown, but site administrators can investigate cases of abuse and plagiarism by addressing the information that is saved in the Content Management System and database.
